Housekeeping /Cleaning -All areas of the house are done including bedrooms, study, store, balconies, passage ways,lounge, dining room and above mentioned Toilets, showers, kitchen.
Personal care includes- showering, toileting, help with dressing, help with medical stockings, help with walking etc.
Child Care services will only be at the clients home.
Special Skills jobs / Allied Services
Special Skill jobs are jobs that require a higher level of knowledge, ability or tolerance. There would be higher charges for these jobs. We do not have standard rates for these services as each job is negotiated directly with a service provider.
Special Skllls Examples - Gardening , Nursing and Rough jobs
Gardening- requires equipment( mower, edger, blowers, pruner, cutters, trailer etc) and knowledge
Nursing- Some service providers performing the role of a carer might have Australian/International Qualifications. Please do not request tasks that only licensed nurses are authorised to do( for ex prescribing/ dispensing medicine) unless your provider has a valid license/ registration in nursing.
Rough jobs -require tolerance. These are unpleasant and difficult jobs often dealing with strong odours, decomposed material and sometimes human waste.
Allied Services are closely related services that some but not all Services Providers on our register may do.These jobs require a degree of professionalism but have no licensing requirement. We do not have standard rates for these services as each job is negotiated directly with the service provider.
Allied Skills examples - Carpet cleaning, Office cleaning, Hair dressing, Painting and Handyman services.
Willing to do all jobs
- Service providers will normally do all jobs in your home as long as the job does not involve risks of health or injury
- The environment is safe and does not make them feel threatened or uncomfortable
- The scope of the job is within their competency.
- Naturally the job must be moral and legal!
