Domestic Charges
For Housekeeping and Personal care jobs that are regular*.
For Example: Cleaning, Ironing, Washing, Personal care (Ex showering, dressing, toileting etc), Meal preparation, Child care &Transportation.
$38 per hour if the service is 2 hours or more.
$63 if the service is just 1.5 hours.
$44 if the service is just 1.0 hour.
Prices include GST.
Long Services ie services >9 hours per service.. prices are negotiable.

-Domestic charges apply only to domestic payers i.e individuals and not to commercial payers(registered business's). Commercial payers pay commecial charges(see Commercial charges tab).
*Regular jobs are those that are patterned ie they repeat. Ex - 4 hours cleaning, every second Friday at 11.00 am. Regular jobs minimise administrative effort for organising service providers. "Once only" and "On request jobs" could incur higher charges.
For “Special Skills” Jobs
(For Example: Gardening, Outdoor, High level Personal Care and other Special Skill Services.)
Charges for jobs involving Special skills are higher.
Gardening, Outdoor and some Special Skills services (“High level Personal Care”, Handyman and “Rough” jobs) are individually negotiated with Service providers as they may involve specialised knowledge or equipment, hazards to health, waste disposal etc.
Gardening charges approximately $20-$30/hr above regular indoor (caring and cleaning) charges mentioned above. Add actual costs (Ex. “Tip fees” paid at council tips for green waste that does not fit in your green bin) if any.
Please Note: Your service provider is employed directly by you and is paid directly by you. If the fee paid by you exceeds $7500 per financial year you must consider taking Domestic Workers Compensation Insurance. Contact NSW Work Cover on 131050 for more information.The rates listed include an Agency fee (including GST) from the client to ASSISTANZ . For the convenience of the client the Agency fee component is normally collected by the service provider and transferred to Assistanz Cheques should be made out in the name of your Service Provider. You may elect to make a separate Agency fee payment to Assistanz.
Domestic arrangement definition
Domestic Charges apply for domestic arrangements.
- The payer of the service is an individual ie a private household payer. The payer is not a registered business or organisation.
- There is minimal or no “paperwork” from the provider’s side for such services.
- Payment is made immediately on completion of a service.
Other Costs:
- Domestic clients pay a once only (life time) registration fee of just $5.00
- If the fee paid by you exceeds $7500 per financial year clients must consider taking Domestic Workers Compensation Insurance. Contact NSW Work Cover on 131050 for more information.
- Add cost of materials or ingredients purchased by the Service Provider on behalf of the client.
- Add cost of mileage when a vehicle is used on the job
- Normally there is no charge for travel to and from a client’s house for most areas in Sydney. However if a house is out of the way and costs incurred by service providers for commuting are not reasonable -example fuel costs due to distance , tolls , commute time -workers may negoatiate a rate that may reimburse them some of additional costs. Any such requests will usually be made prior to a service starting not after.
Discounted Charges
Sleepovers and “Long hours” day jobs: Special (discounted) rates apply for Long hour day jobs and sleep over (12 hour)services.
Sleepovers:
For a 12 hour sleepover some workers may charge you for just 10 hours . This is on the condition that there are just one or two wake ups at night. It is assumed the service provider will work about 3 to 4 hours and rest for 8-9 hours. If the person is expected to be awake then the full rate will apply.
“Long hours” day jobs:
For services over 9 hours in a day your charges could be discounted -if the job duties are not severe.
Other Possible fee/penalties - Domestic clients:
* Short notice Cancellation fee - $38.00
If you cancel or alter a scheduled service with less than 24 hours notice.
*Late Payment Fee - $38.00
If your payment is made more than 2 weeks after a service has been provided.
* Not available fee - $44.00
If you do not answer the door or refuse a scheduled service,
